Hey everyone!!

I had another crazy week of CRAZY, CRAZY FUN, and strong spirit.  I loved it.  Every moment I cherished.  I'm thinking a lot on the fact that this Friday, September 2, I will be 1 year on my mission.  1 year!  I can't even imagine that!  It feels so fast!  But I am so grateful for the time I have had and look forward to my remaining 6 months. Mabalis naman grabe...Quickly the work goes...

This week we taught a lot of families and children.  I loved it!  We were able to enjoy our area and find lots of new people to teach!  It take so long when you are just walking, walking, walking, walking...sweating, sweating.... then prayer. Faith. And the power of God and suddenly there's more than enough to do here.  I love it.

Sorry, I tried to upload pictures but this computer shop is a little sketchy and its not going up.

IN CLOSING, I'd like to share my testimony that I know the importance of women and families.  I know that missionary work is important eternally because the focus of this work is FAMILY which, for me, IS eternity!  I love my family.  I love the doctrine of the family. I know that Jesus Christ is the perfect member of our family and He alone can make the rest of it perfect.  I trust in Him.  I believe in Him.  I'm not crazy, I'm not indoctrinated or forced to believe this.  I have felt and seen His love for me in my life and I cannot lie and say that my life isn't changed because of it.  I know Christ lives.  He is the Son of God.  I love Him.  I know families can be together forever through Heavenly Father's perfect plan.

I leave this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Have a wonderful week!  I love you all!

Love,
Sister Zimmerman

P.S This week I studied Mosiah 23-24 and I LOVED it!  It strengthend my faith and made me feel closer to my Heavenly Father.  Maybe read it if you are struggling right now with large trials.

In the Jungle

Dear Family!!!

KAMUSTA PO KAYO?!? HOW ARE YOU?!? My area is CRAZY! It's crazy I say. Let me share my adventures.

The Mighty Jungle!

I crossed across two different rivers on logs. One of them was small, and not a big deal. My companion took a picture of me.

The little bridge

The other river was very wide, but not very deep, and it was scary as heck.  I crossed first, barefoot.  I tried my best to remember gymnastics and balance beam days from when I was a kid. Then, in the middle of the log, and the deepest part of the nasty dirty river, I froze and my knees started to shake. I could either fall in or... RUN LIKE HECK.  So I ran.  And all the people stood on the shore, laughing, watching a white legged lady run barefoot across a river on a log.  SUCCESS.  I made it. Then my Filipina companion was scared and didn't want to cross and she wanted me come back but I was scared to return.  SO for 20 minutes I coaxed her to try and finally I called one of the teenage boys over, and had him walk in the river next to the log and hold her hand.  And she made it!  MIRACLE!  We found 3 WHOLE FAMILIES on the other side of that river!  We ended the week with 43 new investigators because of that day!

Here's a picture of my companion, trying to cross again, hahah THIS IS THE BIG RIVER!!

The big bridge. Check out the sketchy foot bridge hanging overhead for during the floods!

The work is awesome!  It's so true and so fun!  It's hard and stressful as well and I cry a lot too.  Satan is real and attacks all the goodness that is in the world ESPECIALLY our families! So my plea is that everyone will defend their families.  Stick up for your siblings and your Mom and Dad!  Say GOOD things about them.  Only good things!  Love them for who they CAN and WILL be.

I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ and is the only church with authority to seal families forever.

Have a great week!  Remember to smile and say good things about your family!  I miss mine so much.  Love them while they are near!

Sister Zimmerman

It's Raining a Lot!

Hey family,

So really short right now!  I guess there's like 3 typhoons right now and it's crazy raining lots and WINDY AS HECK but we are having so much fun!  We are loving the work!  We are calling people to Christ, and with love, we are bringing them back.  I'll have more specific stories of spiritual awesomeness next week.  But for now, we are just having fun, teaching lots, getting really REALLY wet and chasing people down.

It's GREAT to be a missionary.  I love this work. I know it's true!!!  I read Mosiah chapter 14 today.  I think it's beautiful.

I know Jesus is the Christ, that His church stands today as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I know that He loves us, directs and plans for us.  If we are obedient, we will be successful.

I love this church and all that it stands for.

I miss you lots and love you all!

Love,
Sister Zimmerman

Sister Cacho and I are laughing because Sister Diaz sunk into the mud.
It's the small things that make your day.

MABUHAY!!! (WELCOME)

MABUHAY ANG MGA KAPATID KO! LONG LIVE THE BRETHERN

Masayang araw! Happy day!  I'm transferred again!  Whoo!  Packing pa more haha joke lang. But I am so happy here in my 4th area!  It's crazy to think I'm turning 1 year in my mission next month!  2 September 2015, I entered the MTC. That's insane how fast its going!  I have the down hill slide of 6 months left.  I want to enjoy every last moment of this experience!  Don't let it end! haha

My new companions are Sister Cacho and Sister Diaz. They are WONDERFUL.  I love them so much!  We are having so much fun!  We joke and laugh and work and it's so much fun!  I love it here in my new area.  It's called Dasmarinas, Bayan. or Dasma Bayan.  I haven't been here very long but I already know I love it. These Sisters are now my 6th companions haha New companion, new area, new everything and it's great.  I'm loving it.  I'm now housemates with my trainer!  Sister Dacalcap. ASTIG DAW IT IS COOL.  I love it.

Not much of an update because I haven't really done much more than walk around confused, but it's all good!  Give me this week and I'll send back stories.

Love you all!  Remember to listen to the words of our modern day prophets! They know what's up.  I really am loving studying General Conference this week.  I want you to know that I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church with TRUE and REAL prophets, actually called of God.  They really are.  Listen, and you'll hear the voice of the Lord.

Have a great week!

Love,
Sister Zimmerman

Good Day!

Dear family,

Another crazy week!  We had a miracle and found 27 new investigators!  And taught 23 times!  We really pushed to get work DONE.  I love this work so much!  Being this, a representative of the Lord, 24/7 is an amazing feeling.  And we are just having so much fun.  Doing this is just a party everday.

Not much else to update, but I know that this Church is true.  And I know that Heavenly Father loves and knows us personally.  He knows our personalities.  We just gotta trust.

Love ya!  And have another amazing week.  Keep working and keep on keeping on.

Love,
Sister Zimmerman

P.S.

I'm getting transferred again!!  I'm going to Dasma Bayan.  I think it's part of Das Marinas City

"SNOW WHITE AND THE 4 DWARVES" is what they titled it, not me. That's our ward mission leader guy.  Those are all my housemates. They are all small and speak with squeaky and cute voices. Love 'em.

Fried banana thing that I cannot remember it's name in Tagalog or English
but it's delicious.
