I love it

Hey everyone!

Heavenly Father answers prayers!  He really hears me every time I talk to him and I feel His love so strongly, I will remember this for the rest of my life.

I don't have a lot of time, so I'll just say that I had a great week!  We experienced a hard rejection- an investigator really pushed us away this week, someone we thought was really progressing, but that is just part of life.  We all have agency and can choose the best for ourselves.

I love my mission, I love the Philippines, and I am SO glad I am here!

I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week, full of promise and happiness!!

Don't forget to pray!  And make sure you sing a hymn or two.

Love you!

Love,
Sister Zimmerman

Buhay pa! (Still Alive!)

Kamusta ang pamilya ko!!!!!!  Hi my family!!!!!

I am still alive!  Buhay pa. Still alive.  Another crazy week and lots happened and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I didn't get transferred (not a surprise) so here I stay in this dandy and beautiful big city called Trece with Sister Teava, my companion from a tiny island in the Pacific ocean called Tuvalo!

This week was crazy talaga, really.  I enjoyed it because we taught so many lessons and found so many potentially progressive investigators. Our most progressing attended church and I loved it!

I'm enjoying the company of those around me and really finding that I LOVE Filipinos.  I really really do!  I love it here.  I love my mission!  It's not without struggles and trials, and things that make me really sad but I LOVE it here and I cannot believe how great it feels to have the Philippines as a part of my life, hopefully forever.

No problems this week!  I'm having to act like an adult and deal with my problems, and it's working out.  I love being a missionary!

The church is true.  I know it's the source of my happiness because it has the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I know Jesus Christ lives and loves me and you.  I know because I prayed about these things and I truly felt it in my heart, and feel it everyday, that Heavenly Father knows me personally, and His Holy Son, Jesus Christ, LOVES ME.

Read your scriptures this week and see miracles and blessings that are unique to you!

Love you! Ingat kayo 'lagi!!! Take care always!!!

Sister Zimmerman

My 6th Transfer

My 6th transfer has begun in the mission field!  I will be 9 months old in my entire mission in less than a month.  I am so excited! 50% through my mission.  It's a cool mile marker.

Super tired this week, but only because we walked so much.  I am so happy here!  Some days are better but everyday I learn something new and feel closer to my Savior Jesus Christ.

I'm doing well.  I'm a little stressed, so please just pray a little extra for me.  I can feel your support and love!  Thank you!

I love you all <3

Here's me and one of my Tongan housemates. She just got transferred though. But I love her!  I've got plans to go visit all these friends of mine in Tonga! 2018 baby.... TONGA haha

Me and some Polynesians that I love. They just call me Palagi, which just means white person. It's cool.  I call them crazy.  It's love.

Sunset in the Philippines. This is yesterday, outside my house

The district, but it's also changed now because of transfers.

Video Testimony

Happy Mother's Day! After a LOT of stress & disappointment of Skype and Facebook Phone not working, Teal & her companion went to another computer shop and she was able to try again.  So even though it was the middle of the night and everyone else had gone to bed by the time she was able to call back we did get to talk!

Because of all the time spent trying to connect and then traveling to another computer shop AND because it was election day in the Philippines and all missionaries had to be back in their apartments by 6pm Teal didn't have time to send any emails this week, but I got this short video of her speaking in Tagalog. It's not the best quality, the internet connection there is poor, but you can hear and see her which is pretty awesome!

I'm all good

Dear family,

Short email this week and no pictures, sorry.  I have no time left.

I'm still alive, and okay. I had a rough weekend, but it's gonna be fine, because I believe in all the promises made to us in the scriptures and in General Conference.  I won't lie: I am homesick this week.  It hit me like a ton of random bricks.  I was like I was just walking one day and someone randomly dropped some bricks on my face and I am left wondering why.  BUT HAVE NO FEAR!  I am actually okay.  I still love my mission, love my companion and love being here in the Philippines.  I have so many new best friends here.  I can't wait to just get back to full work.  I'm holding nothing back, opening my mouth everywhere because I KNOW it's going to be OKAY.  No doubt.  I know it because I've experienced it before.  God. Keeps. His. Promises.  For now, I'm just a little uncomfortable. That's all.  But it's going to change because that's life.

Love you all, don't forget to work it out, because it's gonna be great. Read Alma 42.  It comforted me.  God does not cease to be God, ever. He is always and will Always be there.
